****FOR USE WITH A TRICASTER TCXD300
- Once the Tricaster is loaded, click the “New” Button
- On the top right, enter in the name of the show under “Session Name”
- Under resolution, select whether it is SD 4:3 or HD 720p
- Click “Start Session”
- The next screen then gives you the option of either managing the files, editing, graphics, or Live. Go to LIVE
- Once loaded, you will now have a clean slate to work from and MUST do the following in order to see the cameras and export your project properly
- On Camera 1, click the “Gear” icon (should be located in the top right corner of the camera 1 screen.) You should now see the input settings and Live Matte settings for Camera 1.
- Under connection type, select “480i, 4:3, (SDI)” if working in SD, and “720p (SDI)” if working in HD. (I would suggest not using 1080i unless you are using a component connection.)
- FYI: If you are working in HD, don’t forget to switch your cameras over to HD
- If the camera is on, then you should immediately see it in the preview monitor once you make the switch.
- If using chroma key, click on the “Live Matte” tab.
- Click and Hold the eye dropper, and drag over to the preview monitor of your camera to select what you want to key out
- Once completed, click close
- Repeat the following steps for each camera until each one is set up
- On the top right of the program window, click the “Gear” icon.
- Under the “SD Analog Connections” section, select “Composite + Y/C” for both Hardware Row 2 & Hardware Row 3. (This allows you to see the program video on the Avid and on the monitor in the studio)
